Journal of Crop Protection
Five pillars
Every check, with its source
Where a check was decided by reading the journal's homepage or its ISSN Portal record, we keep what we read: the page's SHA-256 fingerprint, the time, and the words that decided it.

What this means for you
A real journal with real gaps — usually missing metadata or preservation. Your paper will be citable but may be undercounted by indexes until the journal fixes the items below. You can ask them to (button below).
7 things the journal should fix. We can send them the list with your name as the requesting author:
Watch this rating
Hear by e-mail and on your dashboard when this journal's grade changes, when its records cannot be read, or when a hijack or clone signal appears. Watched ratings are re-checked at least every 7 days. Free for up to 10 journals.

Risk Radar
The other question — is this journal showing the behaviour that precedes delisting, hijacking or retractions? Fifteen written rules on the public record.
Score this journal →Show this rating on your site
Paste either piece into your own page — no key, no account, nothing to install. They show the public facts only: the grade, the date it was rated, and a link to every check behind it. When the rating changes, they change.
The badge — a small image that links to this page:

The card — a box with the grade, the score and the date, for a sidebar or a journal list (see it):

Before you submit
Journals now screen submissions for assistant-written text, paper-mill phrases, invented references and reused figures. See the same signals first, with the evidence — the manuscript is read once and discarded.
Manuscript Screen →Are you the editor?
Fix every item above with the Smart Scholars tools — Journal Audit, GetIndexed and DOI Doctor — and the rating updates on the next check: a rating older than 7 days is made again when it is opened, and you can re-check it at once from My journals.
